Day 5 - Perseverance
Postscript:
Update: left Mt Laguna Lodge (mile 42.6) around 7:15am... made it to Pioneer Mail Picnic Area (mile 52.6) around 12:15am... lunch... left around 1:30pm... arrived at tent-site (mile 55.9) around 3:45pm... looks like they are making excellent progress... hoping they stay warm tonight.
Overnight temperatures below freezing, very chilly morning, but setting off from Mt Laguna Lodge, trying for Pioneer Mail Picnic Area by lunch time and then 4 more miles to dry tent site.
