Day 1 - The Start
Update: Started at the PCT Southern Terminus at the US-Mexican border around 10:00am... beautiful day for hiking... temps in the 70's... made camp around 4:30pm after 8.1 miles.
The trail from the Southern Terminus at the border is fairly gentle and slightly downhill for the first several miles. It follows alongside the road back into the town of Campo for about a mile before veering west for a couple miles. There are several small streams that cross the trail between mile 2.7 and mile 6.6 which are all flowing according to recent reports.
